Grandma Visits!!!

Brandon has been in Japan for the last week so my mother-in-law, Marilyn, came out to stay with Adi and myself. It was really nice having her here all week. I was able to spend time doing a lot of things that I really don't have time to do when it is just the two of us during the day. I really appreciate you coming to hang out with us - THANKS Grandma!!!!!




Adi's 8 Months

While Marilyn was here we had Adi's 8 month appointment. She is doing great. She gained 12 oz and is still in the 5th percentile, so my doctor was pleased with her progress. She is just going to be a little thing. She is doing so well. She sooooo close to crawling. She was doing a little army crawling this evening. She is getting her first tooth on the bottom and LOVES the teething biscuits. Her sleep has been so so. When these teeth come in I am going to work on weaning her from her night feeding. There still hasn't been any progress with the sippy cup, but I am convinced that she "knows" how to do it and is just waiting until she wants to. Our baby girl is getting so big :(




Green Thumb - ???

I've been meaning to do a post on my garden progress, but it has been crazy around here. Below are a few pictures of my pots (more of my beds and seeds soon). I have been pretty pleased with how many have germinated. There is definitely an art to getting those little seeds to grow, but I am learning.

JM was GREAT!

Bran and I were able to go to the John Mayer concert last night before he flew off to Japan this morning. I think Bran was a little skeptical about going to the concert, but he was really good. He is an amazing guitarist. Yes, there were a lot of screaming girls, but overall it was a pretty good mix. I would definitely see him again ... thanks for such a great time babe we miss you already!

Pick a cup any cup...

Ok, I'm looking for some advice here. Sweet little Adi does not seem to want to use a sippy cup. I just keep buying more and more cups and I fill them all up everyday in the hopes that one of these days she will decide to use one of them. She really needs to be taking in water now that she is eating solid foods three times a day. Causing some problems in the potty department if you know what I mean. So, Bran and I have found the only way she will really take water in is if we use a straw fill it up with our finger on the end and feed her like a little bird. This child is wonderfully cute, but she is a little stinker. If anyone has any more suggestions please feel free to leave a comment!!!

Gatlinburg, TN

We spent a wonderful 4 day weekend in Gatlinburg, TN. Brandon has really been wanting to do more trips now that Adi has gotten a little easier. It was a great birthday gift; thanks babe!!! We went with three other couples from my bible study. It was so nice getting to know these women even better. I feel so blessed to have met them.
I get worried about how Adi will do when we do things like this, but she did EXCELLENT. I guess it just says that she really is becoming a big girl. :( I just can't believe she will be 8 months in two weeks. The smoky mountains were just beautiful and so was our cabin, so enjoy the pictures below.
