Grammy & Grandpa KC's Visit

It was so nice having Brandon's parents here for a week during Christmas.  It stunk a little that both Adi and Abe were sick during their entire time here, so it was much more of a laid back visit.  The kids had a blast playing with Grammy and Grandpa KC, and we sure enjoyed evenings of visiting and playing games after the kids went to bed!

Our plans for dropping them back off in St Louis got cancel due to illness', but we did manage to make a quick stop at Fitz's in downtown Clayton for monster rootbeer floats!  It was a fun little place to stop.

We also stopped at American Girl in Chesterfield quick.  Adi has been wanting Marie-Grace's accessory kit since she got her in New York, so daddy surprised her by making a quick stop.  She was like a kid in a candy store!!!
Thanks so much for coming up to visit we all had a great time and hope you guys will make it back soon!  We love you!

Christmas 2013

Christmas morning was so fun.  Adi was still a little under the weather, but they were both so excited when they woke up to see that Santa had come!  It was great having Grandma and Grandpa here to share in the excitement as well! We opened gifts, built/put together toys, and had a delicious Christmas meal!

Christmas Eve 2013

Grandma and Grandpa Haight made it to Indiana the night before Christmas Eve!  We quickly grocery shopped the night before since I had been sick the two weeks prior to Christmas and Adi got sick as soon as I was over it.  Adi then passed it on to Abram.  It was a rough December at the Haight household.

Grandpa and daddy made a fun rocket ship out of boxes.

We made chocolate covered oreos, chocolate covered pretzels, white macadamia nut cookies, and the traditional sugar cookies!  Adi was a great little helper!

We all had a fun time icing the sugar cookies.  It's just not Christmas Eve without making Grandma Alice's sugar cookies!

Knick-knack didn't disappoint this year.  He brought Christmas pj's, and brought a Christmas movie, and snacks to go with the movie!  I have to mention how badly Adi has wanted footed pj's this fall/winter.  She was thrilled to get a pair of footed pj's.

Adi had decided days ago that her and Abe would open each others gifts on Christmas eve.  They both loved their gifts to each other!
They went to bed excited for the next morning and mommy and daddy got busy assembling!

Big Boy Bed

Another big step for Mr. Abber!  He napped a couple times in his big boy bed (that's when I took this picture), but he has officially been sleeping in the big boy bed since the day after Christmas!  The crib has been taken down and he really seems to like sleeping in his new bed.  Now it is time to decorate his new bedroom!  We're proud of you big boy!!! Potty training is coming within the next month!

Gingerbread houses 2013

We carried on the gingerbread making event with the Wilzbachers this past month.  We all have such a good time watching these sweet little ones create their own yummy gingerbread homes.  It always amazes me how much they love eating the yucky stale candy in the kits!

Our little angel

We were so excited to go to Adi's Christmas performance at school as a family.  She was the sweetest little angel up there.  I love that she gets the true meaning of Christmas and loves to remind people what Christmas is all about!

How could I pick just one ... look at that little sweetie-pie!

Like Father Like Son

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this sweet little guy of ours.  He LOVES all things cars, trucks, tractors - basically anything that moves.  We were up playing in the bonus room and I caught him using his screw driver from Aunt Kris to "remove" the wheels.  Brandon is going to have a great helper in the shop!  He is all boy, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Swagger Wagon

Well, it is official - I am the proud owner of a mini-van!  The Toyota Sienna is amazing and I just don't know how I survived without one before.  Brandon's recent promotion to Manager gives us a great little perk.  We get a vehicle free of charge.  Toyota pays for gas, insurance, maintenance, basically everything!  I'm so proud of him and all the hard work he does for our family.  He didn't think twice about whether or not I would get the vehicle.  He was happy to let me decide what vehicle to get.  Such a sweet guy I've got here!!!

First snow day of the year - 2013

We kicked off the season with a very fun snow day!  I knew it was suppose to be pretty bad and Adi probably won't be going to school.  We played in the snow, drank hot chocolate, and Adi and I made snowflakes while Abram napped.  When you're well prepared for the snow, it is pretty fun being stuck indoors with Christmas music playing and two cute little ones to keep you company! :)
