Adi Update

She loves her bouncer in the morning

Adi in her Peanut Shell.

Back in the bouncer while mommy pumps.

Well I thought I would post quick while daddy is holding miss Adi. She is 10 days old now and life is very hectic right now. Breast feeding isn't going quite as easily as I thought it would. I have been driving down to the hospital every day to meet with Lactation since Adi is down a little too much in weight right now. We are hoping to have her back up to her birth weight by Sunday. I am busying feeding, pumping, and then supplementing most of the day ... so we are staying busy. I'm sure it will become a little easier once we have the feeding down. We are doing well and hope everyone else is having a nice summer.

Getting Settled In

Showing Adi her room after we got home Tuesday night!

Just thought I would post a quick message before the last of our help leaves tomorrow morning. It has been a good first week, but the real fun starts tomorrow. The three of us will be on our own starting tomorrow. The evenings are difficult, but she is a pretty good baby. She LOVES being held, but I think her and I will figure out some new ways for her to sleep when it is just the two of us this week. My biggest fear was the feeding and that is going really well. We go to see her doctor on Monday, so I'll let everyone know how she is doing after her appointment. Hope everyone is doing well.

Adison Mae Haight ENTERS THE WORLD

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING ... Brandon and I can't even believe what a miracle this has all been. She has been such a good little angel so far. Daddy has been absolutely amazing; changing diapers and letting me rest - he's quite the natural.

I labored from 6:30 to about 4:00 with no pain medicine. I really thought I could do it, but the pain is intense!! By 4:00 I was having trouble breathing through my contractions. At 4:00 I decided to get an epidural & am really happy I did as it made the rest of the birthing process quite enjoyable. By 8:30 I was 10cm, at 9:00 we started pushing, and by 9:15 we had her in our arms!

It was a simply amazing experience. It is hard to even put into words! Bran, both Grandma's, & Aunt Kelly were present for the birth and it was truly a magical experience; full of emotion, happiness, and true LOVE. Bran & I have since agreed that we never could have imagined how awesome this experience would be - It's a true blessing! True to form Brandon was a big teddy bear - overflowing with emotion (& tears).

We can't wait for everyone to meet her! Here are a couple of photos (I'll add more once we get the photo's from Kelly's camera):

It's BABY TIME!

Our loving little girl decided to get the ball rolling on her own in the middle of the night. My water broke at 1:30 this morning. We called our doctor and she told us to head to the hospital, but that we weren't in a great hurry. We chatted with the Grandma's and Aunt Kiki and then decided to head down. Bran & I have been checked in, my IV started, and Adison is on the monitor. It is 4:00 a.m. now and I am debating if I should try and get some sleep or if I should start the walking. We will keep everyone posted, but we should have little Adison Mae Haight today!!!

**UPDATE**
This is Brandon; just thought I'd add a couple pics. Grandma GG, Grandma Wizzy (inside jokes!!) and Aunt Kiki are here now, so I guess we're ready to go!

9 Days or Less for ADI'S ARRIVAL

We had our growth ultra sound this afternoon and she looks great and has great movement, but she is a little small (5lbs 6 oz). This could just mean I am smaller which could mean that she would just be a smaller baby, but it could also mean that my placenta is not working as well at this point. So the solution is: 1) 7/17 we will go in and they will strip my membranes which would naturally put me into labor if my body is ready OR 2) If there is no labor by 7/19 we will be admitted to the hospital at 6:00 am on Sunday morning and I will be induced.

Either way we are only 9 days away from having her here with us and that is very exciting. If you could just keep us in your prayers 7/17 through 7/19. We will be sure to send pictures when she is born!!! Bran and I have 1 week to get everything around the house in order and prepare for her arrival!

Hope you are all doing great and enjoying the summer (especially our work friends who are off for shut down - have a GREAT week off)!

36 Weeks Along

36 weeks...oh my goodness I can't believe we are already here! Everything is going great, and we definitely feel ready for Adi to grace us with her presence. I feel like our house is in order and all of Adison's things are all ready to go as well.
We have the bag packed and are now just playing the waiting game. I am going to the doctor every week and it sounds like we are making progress. We get to have an ultra sound on Thursday and I am so excited to see her again. It has been so long since we have had one and I just can't wait to check up on her and catch one more glimpse of her before she is here with us. We will be sure to let everyone know when the big day arrives - If you think of it please pray that everything goes well and that we all remain healthy!!!!
