Random Pics ... BRRRR it's cold here

It has been FREEZING here and Bran has been out of town all week, so here are some random pics from our week.

Adi is in LOVE with Cooper. He lets her pet him, he makes her laugh, and he truly does entertain her. Now if I could only get him to just sit in front of her for 15 minutes at a time.

We have to get all bundled up to go out of the house right now ... this hat is a little big, but very warm!

Eating food is still not going the greatest, but we make a valiant effort daily.

Playing dress up in our PJ's with Aunt Shannon's bows on.

My favorite for the week. When it is close to bath/bed time if I take Adi's clothes off I can stretch her another 20 minutes. She just squeals in delight and flails all around.

Have a good weekend. :)

6 Months Old

Six month stats:

Height - 25 inches
Weight - 13 lbs 8 oz (7th percentile)
Head Circumference - 42 CM
Bottle - That is a story in and of itself (read below)
Sleep - Goes to sleep at 7:00 pm. I wake up once between 3 and 4 am to feed her and then she goes right back to sleep and wakes up for the day anywhere from 6:30 - 8:00 am. I am honestly completely content with this right now.
Milestone - Basically sitting without support. She still topples over a bit when she reaches for a toy. She is also pulling her little knees up with that cute little booty in the air and is starting to creep forward. Babbles a lot and screeches with joy! She is in LOVE with her little blankies! She sleeps with them and is never without one!

Oh our little love bug!!! After the HORRIBLE day we put her through yesterday I have to say I COULDN'T be happier to PROUDLY be nursing her. Her six month well check went horrible. My doctor just had a baby so we saw the nurse practitioner. She said that Adi was too small and needed to stop nursing immediately. They gave her her shots, said no more nursing, basically we need to force feed her food, oh and have a nice day. Bran and I went home thinking ok the doctors say she needs to switch to formula so here we go. They said she will not starve herself; wait as long as you need for her to take a bottle. To make a long story short after mom cried all day, Adi screamed all day, and daddy was stressed to the max ... 17 hours since Adi had eaten we gave in. At 3:30 am this morning I nursed her and Bran and I thought this is just CRAP. Bran did a bunch of research this morning and honestly for a breastfed baby she is fine. No more forcing anything here in the Haight home. She will do all things in her own time!!!

Great web page for nursing moms: http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/growth/growthcharts.html

Siting like a big girl.

She is a little wiggle worm.

Loves to much on the toes right now.

She looks like a real malnourished and unhappy baby ha. :)

Oh Adi ...

So I have decided that I am not going to entertain or hold Miss Adi 24/7 anymore. So in an effort to change that I decided I would put a bunch of toys on the bed and encourage her to play with them while I picked up the bedroom and vacuumed. Well she cried and cried so I thought I am going to take a picture of this little stinker with her "oh so sad face" but ... as soon as I got down there with my camera ... IT WAS ALL SMILES. (the first pic is of her getting into crawling position ... before too long she'll be mobile :)

She looks like a little sniper in this one hiding behind her dragonfly and her luvvie.

When her little baby doll starts playing music she gets a BIG smile on her face!

This is Adi gazing at Cooper. She really just loves him. When he's being all wild and running around she just stares at him in amazement. We started this new thing where we run and "get" Cooper and she just laughs and laughs. It is very cute (I need to try and catch this on video ... it is adorable!).

Adison's Dedication

Today was Adi's dedication to the Lord. It really meant a lot to Brandon and myself to publicly profess our commitment to raising Adi in a Christian home. All the members of my small group and their husbands were a part of the day. It was a bummer to not have our immediate family be part of the day, but we are blessed to have such wonderful friends here in Indiana.

Deuteronomy 6: 6-7
You must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again.
