I'll NEVER use PAMPERS again!

I am furious with Pampers. More then 9,000 parents on facebook alone have complained about the new Pampers Dry Max and they are refusing to do anything! There is clearly a problem with their "new and improved" product. Lets be a responsible "corporate citizen" and put a recall out of the new diapers. If you couldn't tell from my ranting and raving above Adi has a horrible diaper rash / burn from the diapers. I don't think we have ever seen her in so much pain as we did this morning. If you're kiddo experiences this please file a complaint with the CPSC. I filed one this morning, and I am also going to file a formal complaint with Pampers today. Here are some links below if you're interested in reading them:

I was a huge Pampers fan, but clearly we will never buy them again!

Play Date & Garden Update

My friend Lindsey and I have been getting together with the kids and it has been great. We are going to start getting together once a week for them to all play! Her kiddos are adorable and very sweet. Adi just loves being with other kids and she follows Olivia around the house. I'm so happy we have started hanging out. Lindsey let me try our her new camera today and I LOVE it. Here are a couple pics of Adi and Olivia. (Olivia had a good time putting stickers on Adi's back :)

Here are a few pics of my GROWING garden. It is doing better then I even imagined. Tomatoes, sugar snap peas, peppers, and potatoes are all blooming. We are already harvesting the sugar snap peas (and Adi loves them). It's good because it is about the only veggie she will eat right now. She did enjoy her dinner tonight - home made roasted red pepper hummus on whole wheat tortillas. I am bound and determined to make her a good little eater!

GoodGuys Nashville

We spent the weekend in Nashville this past weekend and it was GREAT. Adi is getting a little easier to travel with now. It is still very different then it was before, but she seems to be doing better when we hit the road for a weekend away. It was our anniversary (6 years) and Bran's birthday so we decided to take a weekend trip. We shopped around the Vanderbilt area on Friday, and we even hit up a Whole Foods for me to stock up! We also ate at a really great place we love in Nashville. Noshville is a lot like a New York Deli and has wonderful Ruebens and DELICIOUS home made pickles!
We spent all day Saturday at the Goodguys car show and I am happy to say Adi did great. She just loved looking and listening to all the beautiful cars. She stayed awake and alert for most of the morning and then she finally gave it up and slept beautifully in her new umbrella stroller.

Getting ready to go - this is the only time Adison wore the hat all day!!

10 Months Old - Happy B-day Daddy!

10 Month Stats:

Height - 26 inches
Weight - 16.6 lbs (1.6 lb gain - YIPEEE)
Head Circumference - ?

Sleep - Adi's sleep routine is still going great for now. Still down at 8 at the latest and up for the day about 7. I think I am going to drop off the early morning feeding soon. I am a little resistant to do it (I think it is starting to make me a little sad that the nursing will be over - SHOCKING I know).

Milestone - A big milestone for us is that we are down to only two nursings a day; early morning and before bed. Our baby is getting so big. She is cruising all over the place and in the last couple days she is trying to stand on her own without holding onto anything. I have a feeling she will be walking soon. She can walk with her little car. She is eating wonderfully. Breakfast is by far her best meal of the day. She eats a TON. Lunch is also great, but by dinner she is just worn out from the day and doesn't eat very well. I am thinking about trying a earlier dinner and a late snack. She is taking two naps a day (10 am and 2:30 pm). They usually last about an hour.

This little girl is just CRAZY! Her personality is extremely wild and cute. We are having so much fun with her now! It just amazes me how much she is understanding. We can hear the train from our house and Adi LOVES it. When we hear it we ask her, "What does the choo choo train say" and she says, "whooo whoooo". It is adorable!! I am planning her 1st birthday party right now and I just can't believe it!!! We are so blessed to have a little spitfire for a daughter!!

Happy Birthday Branner!!!
We hope you had a wonderful day and can't wait for our trip to Nashville this weekend!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

I hope you all had a terrific Mother's Day! We had a very nice weekend just relaxing and spending time as a family. Spending my first mothers day with Adi really reminded me how lucky I am to have such a beautiful and healthy little girl. God is good, and we sure are blessed!

I have a couple pictures below from our weekend.

Adi (Brandon) bought me a beautiful Pandora bracelet that I have been wanting. I LOVE it ... thanks Bran!

Brandon has been working long and hard on the "monster" cart for our friends Tony and Dana's business. It has a 178hp engine from a Honda street bike. . .He made it to it's midpoint this weekend, and it was shown at a race on Saturday. He received a lot of compliments and good feedback. He basically built this thing from nothing. They are hoping to show it completed at Summer Fest. Great job on all your hard work!!!

And, of course, Bran is already prepping Adi to drive!!

Just a quick pic of me and my little pumpkin by the garden!!

My Growing Garden!

I've had a bunch of requests for pictures of the garden from my family, so here you go. The gardening has really been a lot of fun! I am really happy Brandon encouraged me to start planning it out last fall! We enjoyed the fruits of our labor for the first time last night. I harvested my first batch of Spinach and Arugula last night. We both had a good size dinner salad and I had another 3 or 4 cups worth to use today! The veggies just taste amazing. Living in a small town it is really difficult to go strictly organic, but we are really changing the main staples. We are buying all of our meat from our local butcher in town, Dewigs. We are growing plenty of all the veggies we like, and I am planning on doing a fall harvest as well, and I am getting a lot of other items from our only natural foods store in Evansville. After watching Food Inc. you'll want to eat all organic too!

Below are some pictures of our plentiful garden! Remember, these all started out as little seeds.

My far East box

Yellow onions

Sugar Snap Peas

Japanese Cabbage

Red and Yellow New Potatoes

Arugula

Spinach

My "24" Tomato Plants (5 varieties)
Let the canning begin!

1st Harvest of the year!

Swagger Wagon

I know this is really RANDOM, but coming from the girl that said she would NEVER drive a mini van I thought it only appropriate. The link below is the new ad campaign for the Sienna, Toyota's new mini van made RIGHT HERE at our Toyota plant! I have to say with the thought of number two on the way soon I am seriously considering owning a "Swagger Wagon"!

Getting to be a big girl...

Adi has come a long way since January in regards to eating. She is taking her sippy cup like a champ. I think the Vanilla flavored Enfagrow is helping! She can suck that thing down in 2 minutes or less. It should be fun getting her to drink non-flavored cow's milk! She is also really starting to refuse baby food and thinks she wants to eat our food. I have been able to make it work for breakfast and lunch, but dinner has been a struggle. I think we are just in a transition period right now. I am just hoping she will turn out to be a GREAT eater. We are starting to get so many wonderful fresh veggies in the garden. I will be posting pics in the next few days. It is just amazing how well everything is doing.
