Ice Skating

We went ice skating with a "professional" today. Adi had a great time with Aunt "knee", mommy, and Tracy carrying her around the ice skating rink. Adi's wasn't to interested in trying it herself, but she did have a good time. (Her jacket doesn't match, but it was all we had in the car)

Christmas 2010

This year was definitely a memorable Christmas. Brandon and I were both VERY sick yesterday. Adi was on the tail end of the stomach virus, but daddy and I weren't so lucky. It was very sad to me for it to be the three of us and for mommy and daddy to be so sick. We just decided to make our Christmas on the 26th this year. Here are a few pictures from the past three days. We hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and truly embraced the reason for the season. Our Lord, Christ, and Savior!!!

Daddy has really needed this size tool box for some time now. I am so happy Santa decided to get it for him this year. Adi thought it was pretty cool too.

Heading off to Christmas eve service. This is before all the serious sickness began.

There is really only one shot from Christmas morning. We were lucky to get the gifts unwrapped.

Christmas with the Morgan's. They always include us and make us feel so part of the family. We are blessed to have such great friends.

Christmas Eve Jammies 2010

Adi has a classic pair of Christmas Jammies tonight. My sister and I had adorable little matching Lanz of Salzburg nightgowns when we were little. These jammies are so incredibly soft and comfy. She is a little small still for a nightgown, but we did manage to find her some sweet little footy jammies. Adi's Christmas jammies and mommy and Aunt Kiki's same jammies when we were little. We hope you have a magical night!

Ok... I can't resist. These are Christmas Eve-eve jammies. :)

"What was that you said?"

I figured I better do a post about all the funny little names Adi has given different items/people.

Cheerios - aka - jibees
Cooper - aka - Bob
Passie - aka - baaaa
Stickers - aka - *icks (I'll let you figure out the asterix)
Milk - aka - mi mi
Animals - She know tons of animals but instead of calling them by their name she makes whatever noise they say when you ask her what a certain animal is.

I just had to make a note of all her funny little names! :)

Relaxing with DADDY!

Bran is off for the next two weeks and we are SO EXCITED. Adi is just LOVING spending quality time with her daddy!!! Here are some cute pics of them hanging out.

Snuggling up with her animals for some story time.

Helping daddy fix the keyboard.

Reading daddy's Street Rodder (seriously, she picked it up off the table on her own)

Decorating "Bob"

Decorating herself as well!

We're homebound and having FUN!

Since there is a sheet of ice covering everything outside I am trying to get creative regarding what we can do indoors. Adi loved crawling through our home made tunnels and letting her animals go through too (She should love your Christmas present Aunt Kiki!).

First Snow

Adi LOVED playing in the snow. It is still coming down here, and the wind is whipping pretty good. Enjoy the pictures of our little winter wonderland!

Some yummy hot chocolate to top it off.

Here is a little video of Adi's first snowball:

Christmas Cookies

Lindsey and I got together today with the kids and made Christmas cookies. It was fun and messy!! My cut out cookies didn't turn out so great, but Lindsey's chocolate crinkles are delicious! Here are the girls enjoying the fruits of our labor... I'll let Lindsey post the picture of our mess!!

*** From yesterday ***Like normal Adi's going through an "I love books" phase again. It seems like so much of what we do and she likes goes through little phases of being interested in it and not so much. Right now, if it were up to her we would sit down ALL day and read!!

Lighting of the tree...

We had a great evening at Haubstadt's second annual tree lighting ceremony. There was a golf cart parade (which we didn't participate in) with well over 30 lit and decorated carts which ended in town. Santa was there, they lit the tree, and there were refreshments and plenty of people there to celebrate. Better then all of those things someone said a prayer before the tree lighting which sounded a lot like what we heard at church this morning. There is no name more significant than "Immanuel". This name, which Matthew refers to in his Gospel (Matthew 1:23), was first given to Jesus by the prophet Isaiah 700 years before His birth (Isaiah 7:14). This very special Christmas name, as Matthew tells us, means "God with us." I love this time of year, and I love that our family will be making a commitment to have a lot more of this "Christmas spirit" throughout this next year!!

Take a "BITE"

We have been working on taking a "bite". As you can see from the photos below she chooses to do her own thing. She definitely understands how to take a bite, but she is smart enough to know that she gets a reaction out of me when she does this!
