Potty Training - Take 1

I thought I would do a quick post of my little stud muffin in his adorable blue briefs!  I love using this blog as a way to record little things I don't want to forget, and I love even more that I'm able to print a book of all our memories at the end of each year.  So, really there isn't a lot to say... I thought he was ready to be potty trained, but I was wrong!  After two days of trying to make him care I realized he just wasn't ready.  We'll give it another go at a later date!  How cute will he be in these puppies when he is ready?!!!!

Adi got her ears pierced!

Yesterday I had to run to the mall to return something and we walked by Claire's and she looked up and said, "I want to get my ears pierced."  I asked her if she meant right now, and she looked at me very matter-of-factly, and said "YES!"  I told her that is something daddy would want to be there for, so we would talk to him when he got home from work.  It was the first thing she asked him when he walked through the door, it was the first thing she asked about when she woke up this morning, and she has continued to talk about it all day.  So, when Bran got home from work we ran out for dinner and stopped by the mall and our big girl did it!  We kept asking her what triggered her desire to get them pierced and she kept saying Ms. Amanda and Ms. Betsy (her teachers) always have such pretty earrings on.  She really loves her teachers!
I must say I admire her ability to know what she wants, and be brave enough to go for it.  I was well into grade school before I go mine pierced (because I was so fearful to get it done).  Adi is such a sweet and brave little girl with a very determined personality.  We pray that she continues to do great things in the world and that she doesn't lose that ability to just go for it!  She is growing up so fast and we are so proud of the wonderful little lady she is becoming.

Another great thing about this little girl is her amazing rang of emotions when she is excited about something.  The pictures tell it all!

Oh man, this is going to be so great!
 Is that a gun....
I'm just going to size up the situation here.
So excited about this again, this is going to be great!
 It's go time, I'm scared!
 OUCH!
 Still hurting...
 SO worth it!
She is so excited about having her ears pierced!

Brrrrrr...

The high today was below 0, so school was canceled for Adi and Abe's Kindermusik was canceled as well!  I planned for a few fun crafty things for us to do since I knew we would be stuck indoors all day!  The erupting snow was NOT a hit!  These guys just really don't like getting their hands messy.  I had heard that bubbles do really cool things when it is this cold.  When Abe went down for a nap I bundled up Adi and myself and we went outside to check out the frozen bubbles!  I'm making a warm and comforting chicken pot pie for dinner and hope Bran isn't frozen to the bone by the time he gets home!  I must say I'm already ready for Spring! :)

Abe & Daddy Working Hard

Brandon worked hard all weekend on getting new walls up and old ones pulled down.  He had a WONDERFUL little helper at his side.  Abram was obsessed with being down there to be a "worker" just like his daddy!  Every time I went down to check on them he would grab the hammer and yell, "Abey go bam bam!"  It was just so darn cute.  I can't wait to see what these two accomplish in the shop as he gets a bit older!
