Emalyn 2 months

2 month stats:  Height - about 24 inches 85%
Weight - 12 lbs 9 oz  73%
Head Circumference - ?

Well, we're at the two month mark! Things have maybe gotten a little easier. Within the last week you haven't screamed quite as much at night so that is a good thing. You are getting so big already and I can't wait to see what percentile you're in when I take you in today!

Sleep:  You are waking up every two to three to eat. We've had a few easier nights of getting you down, but you still have a bit of a hard time getting settled at night. You have yet to sleep in your crib for even a nap. You sleep in the rock and play or the car seat.  I'm really hoping your sleeping patterns will greatly improve in this next month.

Milestones:  I'm super happy to report you are already smiling (well at a day shy of 5 weeks, because I am of course doing this post late).  You are our earliest smiler and I just know that this means once we get past this yucky colicky stuff you are going to be such a laid back and happy little lady! :)

Firsts:  We haven't done anything super exciting yet, but summer will be here soon and you will have many firsts before long.

Eating:  I'm feeding you ever 2 to 3 hours during the day and you really are going pretty long at night for a 1 month old, but I am also holding you.  I finally gave up trying to lay you in something.  Sleep is just too vital to me right now to play by the rules.

Strawberry picking 2015

My my how I love strawberry picking season. The weather has warmed up for good and yummy and delicious fruit is emerging! We've been picking our own strawberries since 2010! I can't believe how big our babies are getting!!! Adi and Abe did such a good job picking this year. They were all business and pretty proud of their efforts! Grammy rolled Emalyn around in the store while we all picked!  I also snagged some gorgeous wild flowers while we were there. I didn't make any jelly this year since Lindsey and I picked more then 10 lbs last year. I still have a good amount of jelly in the freezer still. I did freeze 3 cookie sheets full of strawberries for smoothies all summer long. 🍓🍓🍓

Adi's Pre-K Graduation

Well, preschool is over for Adi, and I getting sad thinking of the start of Kindergarten in a few short months.  This sweet little girl is amazing.  Brandon and I feel truly blessed to be her parents.  She is so thoughtful, loving, and genuinely cares for others.  I know she is going to love Kindergarten and will continue to grow in many ways! We love you Adi Mae!!

Little Motocross Kids

Well, Brandon did it!  He bought a dirt bike for the kids.  He has been wanting to get one for awhile now.  The kids are still a little young for it, but I see lots of fun times spent on this little thing in the very near future.  Abram wants to ride it on his own so very badly, but he can't reach the ground quite yet.  I think Adi could do it, but she is much more reserved and reluctant to really give it a go.  I'm sure Abram will be riding it soon!!!

Mother's Day an 2-wheelin kiddos...

This was my first Mother's Day with 3 sweet kiddos! It was a nice day with a little chaos as usual, but hey, that's what makes life exciting! I feel truly blessed to be there mama and couldn't do it without the support of such an amazing husband!

Adi and Abe have learned to ride bicycles!  They both started practicing on the Strider this spring and have basically taught themselves to ride on their own! They just LOVE riding their "peddle bike." How cute is it that they call it a peddle bike, also they're just so darn adorable zipping around on them! I can't wait to take them to some parks with some good little bike trails and Emalyn and I will walk along side.  Mama needs a little more rest before that happens though.

Spring Planting 2015

I don't have my big old garden yet in the new house here, but it can't be and spring and not plant anything. So...we spent today planting pretty flowers and yummy basil.  The kids just love being outside and getting dirty and that makes my heart so very happy!!!

Ok, she's not getting dirty yet, but it won't be too long and she will! ;)
