A nice Thanksgiving weekend ...

We had a very nice and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend with friends and family. We spent Thanksgiving day with Matt and Shannon and Matt's family. The day was full of good food and friends. Kelly headed over to Evansville on Friday after work for the last time :(
She will be moving to Denver in two weeks, which makes me VERY sad. I know it will be a great opportunity for her, but Bran and I have really enjoyed having her so close.
Bran and I have so much to be thankful for this year!!!! We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well.

Trip to Arizona

Better late then never. Adi and arrived home from AZ a week ago. Adi and I had a great time spending time with Gigi and Grandpa while daddy was in Japan. It seems I have been away from AZ too long. I was shocked by the VERY warm weather, and definitely packed too warm of clothes (I'll know better for Christmas). We had a good time visiting with everyone and seeing family and friends.
Adi was able to hang out a lot with her cousins (Will and Kate), which was really fun. My mom had bought the same swing that Bran and I have because our daughter was ADDICTED to it ... that's right "WAS". The day after we got home she had her 4 month appointment and the doctor said "no more napping in the swing". I have retired the swing for a little while so Adi will become more comfortable with her crib. It was really nice seeing my girlfriends while I was home and for them to meet Adi.
We enjoyed our time visiting while Bran was away. Thanks mom and dad for dealing with the sleepless nights while we were home (I think she will do better at Christmas :)

4 Months Old Today

Four month stats:

Height - 24.5 inches (52nd percentile)
Weight - 12 lbs 8 oz (26th percentile)
Head Circumference - 40.5 CM (38th percentile) MANY people comment on her nice round head :)
Bottle - Given up even trying: My new hope is that she will take a sippy at 6 months
Sleep - Waking up sporadically through the night ... tonight will be the start of our CIO (crying it out). The doctor and many others have reassured me that it will be a rough week, but after that we will be very happy we did it. Lets hope next months post says "sleeping through the night"
Milestone - Rolling over both ways daily

I can't even began to tell you what a sweet and wild girl Adi is. We just love her to pieces! Even though the nights have been a little rough her sweet and playful demeanor during the day makes it all worth it. She has been awake more, more interested in her toys, and is really starting to grab for toys and put them in her mouth. She LOVES peek-a-boo. When you do it with her she just laughs and laughs ... it is the cutest thing ever. My goals is to get a video of it when Bran gets back this weekend. I can't believe how much she grows and changes from month to month. I hope you enjoy these sweet pictures of her!!! (I'll be posting pics from our AZ trip this weekend)

Adi LOVES the lotion

This video isn't the greatest, but it will do. So, for the last couple weeks if you take Adi into the guest bathroom her eyes immediately go to some lotions that are sitting on the counter and she usually just squeals with joy and gives us some big smiles. I think she is hitting a point where she is becoming more impressed with looking at her cute self in the mirror, so I figured I should try to catch her smiling at the lotion before she is no longer impressed by it.
Having kids is so much fun and very entertaining.

( I can't seems to get my videos to post to my blog using the tools in here, so I posted to Youtube)

3 Months Old

Three month stats:

Height - 24.5 inches
Weight - about 11 lbs 6 oz
Bottle - Still refusing ... I have basically given up even trying
Sleep - I feel like we are regressing a bit; she has been going about 5 to 6 in the last week (maybe a growth spurt)
First big milestone - Rolling over from belly to back daily

Adi is just such a doll and she definitely is in charge at the Haight House. Her little personality is really starting to emerge. When she is happy she is happy, and when she's not she is NOT. She can go from crying (screaming) to smiling and giggling in a matter of seconds. She absolutely loves looking at the lotions that sit on the counter in the guest bathroom. We haven't quite figured out what is so special about it, but it is an absolute blast watching her laugh and squeal at the sight of it. Another thing she is doing is sucking on her hands (recently found her thumb). I really tried to stop her for the first week, but now I just let her do it. She won't take a pacifier, so maybe she will become a thumb sucker. It just amazes me that she is already 3 months. The time really does go by extremely fast.

Random Pics ...

Brandon and I were able to go see Jeremy Camp this
past Saturday. We had great seats and he was even
better live then I could have expected. It was really
nice to have a night away (thx Shannon).

Cooper loves Adi ... and funny thing is she is starting to
really like him. We came in from the car the other day
and I sat down her carrier and Coop came up and put
his nose in her face and she gave him a HUGE smile
(too cute).

My super fabrication fabulous husband installed a tiny
camera in my car so I can keep an eye on Adi. We bought
a cheapo mirror that was broken when we got home
from Babies R Us ... so Bran gave me a better, high tech
option. It allows me to see her on my flat screen that
is connected to the radio (thx babe :)

Daddy is on GOLD!

Brandon is working the night shift this week and next with the Highlander getting ready to launch at our plant. It has been really nice having him around during the day to hang out with. We went out for a little walk today to enjoy the Fall weather (time for Adi to bundle up). It is definitely starting to feel like fall here.
Adi is doing great and things are getting a little easier each day. She is doing a great job sleeping at night which makes us ALL happy.

Adi all bundled up with daddy ready for a walk!

Grandma & Grandpa Visit!!!

We had a great visit with my parents. It was nice having them visit for the weekend. It was a really quick visit, but very nice to have family around for a couple of days. My mom and I were able run around and even shop a little. Brandon and I were able to go out to eat to one of our favorite restaurants (THANK YOU mom and dad for watching her). She is quite the screamer at night, so it was nice for us to have a relaxing evening.
Brandon and my dad worked very hard on getting my planter boxers constructed and put into the ground! Thank you dad and Bran for building them. I am so excited for spring to get here, and to enjoy tons of fresh veggies!!!!

The men working hard!

Finished product - we are going to stain them in the Spring

All of us enjoying the nice weather!

Adi sleeping in Grandma's arms.

***SIDE NOTE*** I have the best hubby around.
He surprised us by taking a half day to help out and
brought us some beautiful flowers. WE LOVE YOU!

2 Months Old

Another month has flown by and things are going just great!!! We see more and more changes and growth in Adi everyday. She is smiling a lot in the morning and just in the last few days we can squeeze a few smiles out of her at night (well her daddy can anyway). Brandon heard her giggle last night. I haven't heard it yet, but I'm sure I will soon! She is still a little fussy in the evenings, but that is getting better. The nights are going great. She can usually make it one good seven hour stretch (this has been the trend since Thursday :).

Two Month Stats:

Height - 23 inches (75th percentile)
Weight - 10 lbs 4 oz (50th percentile)
Adi is refusing to take a bottle (we are trying everyday)
Sleeping - 1 seven hour stretch a night (yipeeee :)

Color Blind?! I think so!!!

Daddy dressed Adi this morning in one of her little Japan outfits (our little samurai warrior :)!
Needless to say the outfit and socks don't match!!! Lets hope Adi does not get her dad's colorblindness!
