Cancun Mexico 2016

We spent a week in Mexico with Kel's family and my dad and it was pretty darn fun.  It's always a little difficult to travel with babies, but the weather and beach were amazing and it was really terrific having a full week to relax with the people I love the most.  As you can see from the pictures Emalyn wasn't in love with the beach/sand.  By the end of the trip we got her to sit in it and eat a bit of sand, but it took a good couple of days.  I adore the picture of her and Brandon in the ocean.  She just wasn't feeling it.  I love this precious family God has so graciously blessed me with!!!  Until our next adventure...

Oh how I love these sweet babies of mine!!!

Emalyn Marie is ONE!

Emalyn Marie Haight, you are ONE years old!  I can't believe how fast this first year of your life has gone.  I'll start by listing some of my favorite things about you sweet girl:

Your bright blue eye

Your cute little (5) teeth

Your mischievous little smile 

Your squishy baby thighs

That you give us hugs now

How much you love your dada, Adi, and Bubba

That you still let me rock you to sleep every once in awhile 

Your awesome belly laugh

And sooooooo many more!

You're finally starting to sleep through the night some evenings and are napping twice a day still, but I think we'll be down to one in the next few months. You absolutely ADORED your birthday cake!  You are such a terrific eater, which is really funny considering how difficult it was to get you to eat solids!  You really resisted eating anything but puréed baby food, but I think your GI issues was just making you feel really yucky!  You aren't walking yet, but you're cruising a ton and will be there in no time flat!  You have 5 teeth (one popped through a couple days before your birthday). You are a sweet sweet girl and we all love you so very much!  We thank God everyday for blessing us with you baby!!!

Emaly's 11 months

Oh my goodness gracious!  How is my sweet baby girl going to be ONE in less then a month?!

You are doing so darn well Eme Marie!  It's been a little rough here and there, but you are pooping every day, gaining weight wonderfully, crawling, talking a lot, and doing better sleeping. You've given mama a few full nights of sleep, but are typically waking up once to nurse. 

You are the happiest, snuggliest, smart 11 month old we know and we just love you to pieces!!!!

Grandpa Randy Visits

It was so nice to have Grandpa Randy out for a week while Bran was in Japan. The kids had a blast playing and it was helpful having him here with us! Thanks Gramps, we love ya!!

Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

Brandon got back from Japan just in time to take Adi to a sweet little daddy-daughter dance at church tonight. She was so excited to be going on such a fancy date with the love of her life, her daddy. These two make my heart full of so much love and joy.  There relationship is insanely sweet and so special! I pray they always remain so very close!
