Daddy is on GOLD!

Brandon is working the night shift this week and next with the Highlander getting ready to launch at our plant. It has been really nice having him around during the day to hang out with. We went out for a little walk today to enjoy the Fall weather (time for Adi to bundle up). It is definitely starting to feel like fall here.
Adi is doing great and things are getting a little easier each day. She is doing a great job sleeping at night which makes us ALL happy.

Grandma & Grandpa Visit!!!

We had a great visit with my parents. It was nice having them visit for the weekend. It was a really quick visit, but very nice to have family around for a couple of days. My mom and I were able run around and even shop a little. Brandon and I were able to go out to eat to one of our favorite restaurants (THANK YOU mom and dad for watching her). She is quite the screamer at night, so it was nice for us to have a relaxing evening.
Brandon and my dad worked very hard on getting my planter boxers constructed and put into the ground! Thank you dad and Bran for building them. I am so excited for spring to get here, and to enjoy tons of fresh veggies!!!!

***SIDE NOTE*** I have the best hubby around.
He surprised us by taking a half day to help out and
brought us some beautiful flowers. WE LOVE YOU!

2 Months Old

Another month has flown by and things are going just great!!! We see more and more changes and growth in Adi everyday. She is smiling a lot in the morning and just in the last few days we can squeeze a few smiles out of her at night (well her daddy can anyway). Brandon heard her giggle last night. I haven't heard it yet, but I'm sure I will soon! She is still a little fussy in the evenings, but that is getting better. The nights are going great. She can usually make it one good seven hour stretch (this has been the trend since Thursday :).

Two Month Stats:

Height - 23 inches (75th percentile)
Weight - 10 lbs 4 oz (50th percentile)
Adi is refusing to take a bottle (we are trying everyday)
Sleeping - 1 seven hour stretch a night (yipeeee :)

Color Blind?! I think so!!!

Daddy dressed Adi this morning in one of her little Japan outfits (our little samurai warrior :)!
Needless to say the outfit and socks don't match!!! Lets hope Adi does not get her dad's colorblindness!

Growing a Garden

I have wanted to have a garden since we moved to the Midwest, but I just haven't had time. Brandon has spent part of the weekend getting the ground ready and planning for our raised boxes so we can have a plentiful garden in the spring!!! Bran and my dad are going to work on building the boxes when my parents come out in a couple weeks and I am trying to research when to start all the veggies and how to start a garden. It is going to be fairly big, so we will be eating well come Spring/Summer.
I have also always wanted to have a garden once we have kids so they have a good understanding of where our food comes from and starting healthy eating habits at a young age! We know that Adi and her other siblings will enjoy helping mommy in the garden!

Happy Holiday Weekend

It's been a little while since I have posted. We are all doing well. I am so excited that Brandon has a 5 day weekend! The three of us went out to breakfast this morning which was really nice (Adi slept!). Shannon is going to watch Adi tonight so Bran and I can go out to eat (I'm very excited about that). I think the three of us are going to take a little road trip to New Harmony this weekend. It is only about a half hour from our house and will be a nice place for us to go and just walk around with Adi on a nice day.
Adi is doing great. I am only getting up twice in the middle of the night; which really isn't too bad. I think she is starting to better understand the difference between night and day. She is awake and alert a lot more during the day and goes right back to sleep after I feed her in the middle of the night. She is starting to smile now as well, but I haven't managed to catch one with the camera yet. We hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend!!! Here are a few pictures for you to check out.

Cooper and Adi hanging out. He has become
her little protector. He is the first in her room
when she starts to cry. This isn't so helpful
if Bran and I have decided to let her cry it out.

SUPER ADI to the rescue :)
